Nova Scotia-based Trecan Combustion Limited is the world’s leading manufacturer of snow melting machines, both portable and stationary. They are used by airports and ports, cities, parking facilities, sports and cultural facilities, snow contractors, military bases and others.   

Trecan’s interest in hydrogen energy is two-fold. First we plan to adapt our line of Snowmelters to be powered by hydrogen, as an alternative to fossil fuel. Second, we plan to develop, manufacture and sell other hydrogen-powered products that will enable facilities of various kinds to transition from fossil fuel to hydrogen in key operational areas. In the furtherance of both of these corporate objectives, we welcome strategic alliances with like-minded organizations that possess complementary expertise and resources.
