Atlantic Hydrogen Alliance Joins the Pan-Canadian Alliance of Hydrogen Hubs
December 19, 2025
The Atlantic Hydrogen Alliance (AHA) is pleased to join the Pan-Canadian Alliance of Hydrogen Hubs (the “Alliance”), uniting with other leading regional hydrogen organizations including Simon Fraser University’s Clean Hydrogen Hub (British Columbia), Vallée de la Transition Énergétique (VTE, Québec), Newfoundland and Labrador Hydrogen Innovation Partnership (HyIP, Newfoundland & Labrador), and the Edmonton Regional Hydrogen Hub (Alberta).
This collaboration leverages the complementary strengths of regional hubs across Canada to build a thriving national hydrogen ecosystem that will stimulate investment, advance technological innovation, develop Canada's hydrogen workforce, and strengthen long-term energy security and sustainability.
The members of the Alliance have committed to work together to:
- Support advancement of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives projects in each region.
- Promote and commercialize Canadian hydrogen innovation and technologies.
- Collaborate on training, education and community outreach.
- Share knowledge and best practices in technical, economic and financial areas.
Through the Alliance, the AHA will advance both Atlantic Canada's hydrogen ambitions and Canada's position as a global clean hydrogen leader - transforming regional strengths into national competitive advantage.
About the Atlantic Hydrogen Alliance (AHA)
The Atlantic Hydrogen Alliance is a not-for-profit industry association accelerating Atlantic Canada toward a clean energy future by developing a thriving low-carbon hydrogen sector.
About the Vallée de la Transition Énergétique (VTE)
Located in Bécancour, at the heart of a dynamic industrial ecosystem, the Energy Transition Valley (VTE) aims to accelerate the development, deployment, and commercialization of clean technologies — particularly in the areas of green hydrogen, industrial decarbonization, and energy storage. VTE acts as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and investment to support the transition toward a net-zero economy.
About Simon Fraser University’s Clean Hydrogen Hub (CHH)
CHH is a core research facility at Simon Fraser University that brings together industry, community, academia and government partners to lower the costs of clean hydrogen production and co-develop technologies and products.
About Newfoundland and Labrador Hydrogen Innovation Partnership (HyIP)
HyIP is a unique collaboration between research institutions, industry, and Indigenous groups working to advance clean energy research, development, and innovation in Newfoundland and Labrador.
About the Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub
